Starting in 2026, the Uniform Bar Exam (UBE) is set for a dramatic transformation. Starting July 2026, NextGen will replace traditional UBEs in selected jurisdictions and more accurately reflect newly licensed lawyers’ work by testing both foundational concepts and principles as well as core lawyering skills.
